On December 12th LUMEN hosts a workshop with Prof. Alexandra Walsham (Cambridge University) exclusively for junior scholars. The aim of the workshop is to discuss and improve the participants’ individual research questions, as well as considering general interdisciplinary and methodological issues related to the study of visual and material culture in the early modern period.
On December 13th Prof. Walsham will join us for an excursion to Hornslet Church where further presentations and discussions will take place. In the afternoon, Aesthetic Seminar at Department of Art History, Aesthetics & Culture and Museology will, in collaboration with LUMEN, host an open lecture with Prof. Walsham on “Converting the Cross: Monuments, Memory and Time in Post-Reformation”
