For the Lutheran Reformers, Luther and Melanchthon, the aim for theology was consolation of the anxious soul. After 1528, the care of doctrine became important for both. Reading the lesser-known German version of Melanchthon’s Loci, this project will revise the understanding of the internal relationship between Melanchthon and Luther and give new insight in how the consolatory revolution in Wittenberg impacted on doctrine and society.
Follow new projects ”in the making”.
Scholars will in LUMEN’s Lecture Series talk about the thoughts behind their ongoing projects.
The 45 min lecture will be followed by a discussion and a glass of wine.
Students are very welcome!
