Seminar on Living with God. A material approach to the early modern Lutheran household in Denmark, which is the second of two seminars.
The subject of this day is ways in which we can read reactions on the Reformation or changes as consequences of the Reformation inside the home. In this and the earlier workshop the home is defined broadly as the private sphere and encompasses the nobles' mansions, the cities' houses and the peasants' farms.
The questions we wish to discuss is how the Reformation in 1536 and the confessionalization manifested in the material culture of the home, and whether it is possible to read physical changes in the home as a consequence of the change in confession.
The seminar will be held in danish.
