The LUMEN Centre houses a range of affiliated projects whose aim is to generate ambitious and innovative research in the study of confessional and cultural characteristics of the Lutheran Reformation and its influence on theology, mentality, culture and society – particularly in the Nordic countries.

The centre forms a framework for the affiliated researchers, but is also home to a variety of externally financed collective and individual projects as well as networks.
